Privacy Policy

This is an English translation provided for convenience. Medipro is a Colombian company and its data handling is governed by Colombian law; the Spanish version of this policy is the operative one in case of any discrepancy.

1. Data controller

Medipro Colombia is the controller of the personal data collected through this platform, in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 on the protection of personal data in Colombia, compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to deliver our AI and consulting services to physicians, specialists and medical practices:

  • Name and contact details of the professional or practice.
  • Phone number (WhatsApp).
  • Specialty and location of the practice.
  • Information about the practice's intake process, as needed for the assessment or consulting engagement.
  • Any additional information the user shares voluntarily during the conversation.
  • What you write in the contact form or in an email: name, email, phone (optional), the service you are interested in and your message.
  • Browsing data from this site (pages visited, device, browser and approximate location) collected by Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager.

We do not collect medical records or health data belonging to our clients' patients. Where we implement AI for patient communication, the handling of that data is governed by a specific agreement with each client.

3. Purpose of processing

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Contact you and present a service proposal.
  • Schedule assessment calls and consulting sessions.
  • Deliver the service you engaged us for (AI, coaching, advisory, training or consulting).
  • Send you information relevant to your service, only if you authorize it.

4. Sharing of data

We do not sell, rent or transfer your information to third parties for commercial purposes. We share data only with technology providers strictly necessary to deliver the service (for example, messaging platforms or automation tools), under confidentiality agreements.

These are the providers that process data on Medipro's behalf:

  • Google (Google Sheets and Apps Script): stores the requests sent through the contact form and notifies us by email.
  • Google (Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager): measures site usage and clicks on the contact buttons.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile): checks that the contact form is sent by a person and not by an automated program.
  • Meta (WhatsApp): receives the messages you send us on WhatsApp.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Colombia, including the United States. By using the site and contacting us, you authorize that transfer, which is made with the safeguards required by article 26 of Law 1581 of 2012.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to deliver the service and to comply with legal obligations. Once the service relationship ends, your data is deleted from our systems within a maximum of 12 months, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

6. Your rights

Under Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to:

  • Know: find out what data of yours we hold.
  • Update and correct: fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete: request removal of your data when it is no longer necessary.
  • Withdraw consent: revoke your authorization at any time.
  • Access: obtain a copy of your data, free of charge.
  • Request proof of the authorization you gave us to process your data.
  • Be informed of how we use your data.
  • File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) for violations of Law 1581 of 2012, after completing the inquiry or claim process with Medipro.

To exercise any of these rights, write to contacto@medipro.com.co describing your request. We respond within a maximum of 10 business days.

7. Inquiries answered in 10 business days, claims in 15 business days

Send your request to the email above with your name, your ID number, a description of what you are asking for and a way to reach you.

  • Inquiries (what data we hold and how we use it): we answer within 10 business days of receiving the request. If that is not possible, we explain why and answer within the following 5 business days (article 14 of Law 1581 of 2012).
  • Claims (correct, update or delete data, revoke your authorization or report a breach): we answer within 15 business days of receiving the complete claim. If information is missing, we ask for it within 5 business days; if you do not send it within 2 months, the claim is considered withdrawn. If we cannot answer within 15 days, we explain why and answer within the following 8 business days (article 15 of Law 1581 of 2012).

The data protection authority in Colombia is the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC). You can file a complaint with it if your inquiry or claim was not handled as the law requires.

8. Cookies and tracking technologies

This platform may use technical cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising tracking cookies without your consent. You can configure your browser to reject cookies, although this may affect site functionality.

The site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics to measure visits and clicks on the contact buttons. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example, _ga) that store a random browser identifier; they do not store your name, email or phone number. You can block them in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

9. Visitors from the United States: data handled from Colombia, never sold

Medipro delivers its consulting services from Colombia. If you visit this site or contact us from the United States, your data is handled in Colombia under this policy and the following terms:

  • What we collect: the details you send through the contact form (name, work email, optional phone, the service you are interested in and your message), the emails, calls and WhatsApp messages you send us, and browsing data from Google Analytics (pages visited, device, browser and approximate location).
  • How we use it: to answer your request, prepare a proposal, deliver the services you engage us for and measure how the site performs.
  • Who we share it with: only the providers listed in section 4 (Google Sheets and Apps Script, Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, Cloudflare Turnstile and WhatsApp), which process it on our behalf.
  • We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
  • How long we keep it: as described in section 5.
  • Your choices: you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under state privacy law; we answer those requests through the same channel. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by publishing the new version on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the policy in force.
